When I was in med school in the late 1950s one of the mentor for both me and my older brother preached that "it is not what you know, it's who you know." Despite the truth in that advice, it made me angry then and still does. Such dismisses knowledge. Still does as we rely on AI even if AI is wrong. We humans will not function well if we cannot make accurate judgements, and we cannot make accurate judgements if we are not knowledgeable. The humans who create AI better damn well be knowledgeable or the AI will lead us astray. Use AI as an easy access bank of knowledge, but retain the "Gibbs Switch"; always be able to pull the plug and turn AI off when our sound judgement tells us "that's hogwash". True for doctors, lawyers, et al who make a living making judgements that other humans rely on. Love, Doc www.dykers.com PS none of my 5 books were written by AI. The I was mine.
