Andrew, 5 masked unidentified men attempted to car jack a woman performing a 3 point turn, and then murdered her in front of her spouse.

Whose side are you on?

Frankly, it could have been Evelyn.

I can no longer support you if you think "both sides" is an appropriate response to government extrajudicial execution. Shame. Shame!

Your opening summary of the situation here is focused on the facts as they were known during the time that this post was written. It's presented in a non-incendiary manner with some grace and fair speculation, which is in theory good for de-escalating tensions.

As with any developing story though, yet another video angle has come out showing both that she was already trying to execute the three point turn, and that the officer that shot her was steadily walking all around her car before deciding to take her life. He's also filming on his phone before and after firing three times into the car.

Yet, the vice president gave a press conference today doubling down on the absolute lie that the ICE agent was in any danger and that he acted in self-defense. In the face of this level of glorification of unjustifiable force and coordinated misinformation, we need to call the situation what it is: the heartless and apathetic killing of an American citizen, and a gross violation of all of our civil liberties.

I implore to to grow a spine and call it what it is. That's what it means to be Forward, your statement is that of a coward.

I appreciate your levelheaded thoughts. I for one wish to reserve judgement until an investigation is completed. Her death is a tragedy that should not have happened. Lethal force was not necessary. It pains me that everywhere ICE goes too many people get hurt these days.
