Being the change you want to see is better than just complaining about it... If the positive seems in short supply, supply it yourself... sounds logical to me
Try "The Price Of Eggs Is Down" 4th edition Amazon Kindle or paperback. Chapter 2 has the text of the Medical Care Restoration Act on 10 pages 5x7 in 16 font for easy reading and serious thinking for Universal Health Care that is also Voluntary. Cuts cost and improves quality by moving the money power to the Dr/Pt relationship which is healing and away from the corporate bureaucracy which is not healing. MCRA fits into our present chaos more effectively than M4a. Doctors have to earn our keep by skill patient care and continued learning but we are no longer proletariat. Patients are cost monitors. Fraud is near impossible and defensive medicine is obsolete. The chapter on Universal Basic Income shows its value as a crime fighter and reduces UBI's inherent inflationary nature. UBI is truly the real dividend for AI. The companion volumes, "Every War Is An UnCivil War" and "God Made Men Too" present the sex and sex education that has resulted in our beneficial drop in birth rates and the new economics, politics, and geopolitics that will be our human dividend for avoiding Trumpian hatred. Not to be a buzzkill, but if “agency” means buying a dopamine squirt while courts, censors, and cronies seize the levers of the state, then agency has been successfully downgraded to customer service.
You want to help service workers‽ Tip, yes; then disrupt the conditions that make tipping feel like triage.
-- Fund a strike kitty; back the NLRB case; bring visibility to protests, strikes, and votes.
-- Better yet, gather a coalition of your rich, progressive friends and fund a Prog Think Tank.
-- Demand living wage ordinances; end tip credit where it exists.
-- Join a local press co-op; censorship hates receipts.
-- Back antitrust and platform neutrality; your delivery app is a wage shredder with notifications.
-- School boards, library boards, union boards; put your body in the quorum.
-- Mutual aid: food, rent, legal defense.
-- Stop treating authoritarian decrees like weather. Name the policy, jam the gears, litigate, organize.
A culture that substitutes private benevolence for public justice gets neither. Keep tipping your barista; fund their bargaining committee. Keep smiling; sharpen your subpoena. Do something direct and personal; also, do something structural and collective. Feel good; build power.
Great minds A. Yang! I began over tipping during Covid and I never stopped! The young people who treat me like their Gma gives me hope…Hope that they have respect for those who came before them and that “If you can be anything, Be kind!” I’m not lacking for anything, my life is simple so my indulgence is tipping well! Peace and Love
Agree 100%. I’ve been happily overtipping since COVID. I try to help this way locally when I can. Instead of a global economy that seems to be the focus these days, I support our global community by working through Heifer International. If you don’t know about it, you might want to check it out.

Tipping is dessert. We need sustenance.
Wise and Wonderful! Thank you, Andrew

Love this Andrew! Being giving to others is definitely one way we can create some new possibilities!
