Very insightful after the primary and now that the election is over, your summary is top of mind. I hope he grows in ways that reduce division yet tRump will continue to bully him. Antisemitism is real, hate mongering is real. Kindness is real. Focus on NYC Americans . Fingers crossed for more peace, less punches.

Food for thought: granted the circumstances were Covid, but NYC had free MTA, rent freezes, restraint on NYPD and misdemeanor crimes were shelved. Result: the enclaves of white progressive voters FLED NYC. I am constantly astonished why there isn’t more journalistic analysis on this.

Then what happened: Eric Adams became the presumptive leader who was a former republican cop.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I volunteered for your campaign. I was told I got the greater Queens sign ups out of all the volunteers - I shared this with you at the Confetti Movie screening.

What this “white flight” of progressives suggests is they aren’t rooted in the future of NYC living. They also fail to recognize their own actions lead to turnover which leads to rent hikes.

What is to say they won’t ditch NYC again with the Mamdani platform?

Thank you for this balanced perspective. I upgraded to paid - your insights are a great example of why traditional media is dead. I wish the new Mayor well as well and am hopeful for the great city of New York. You gave actionable suggestions. I hope he reads the post. There was really no other choice. New York, like many governments throughout history has forgotten about the people. Platitudes and ideology don't work for the working class. People need help, access, and resources. I'm optimistic and hoping for the greater good of all.

Okay, here's where the fight starts. A war on NY's Jews begins here, pretending to be anti-apartheid. It's not. https://jewishinsider.com/2025/11/jerry-nadler-liz-krueger-mamdani-cornell-technion-boycott/

Glad I got to see this at the top of my inbox. I'm glad he won as well, but it's also good to look at the realities and see what he might need to adjust to actually be successful. Sidenote: I volunteered for your 2020 campaign and donated to your NYC mayoral campaign, so I'm always looking forward to seeing what you do next!
